June 2008 Wakeboard Camp
June 17th thru 19th Tige Team Pro Rider Cathy Williams returned to Gainesville Marina for another of her hugely popular wakeboarding clinics. All three days booked up to capacity quickly with anxious to learn riders ranging from age 8 to 40. A new addition this year was the "No Boyz Allowed" day on Wednesday the 18th. This is an idea of Cathy's that is taking off around the country. No Boyz Allowed is just what it sounds like, a day for just girls. Cathy feels that the girls learn more and are more open to trying new things when it a boat load of "Chicks", as Cathy says it. As always, Cathy was a huge hit with everyone asking for her to come back for more. Everyone who attended said not only did they have a great time but all felt they improved as a rider. Mia Voight said - "I want Cathy to come back and do a mom's clinic" Alex Doty said - "Great Camp!, We all really enjoyed it, can't wait for the next one." Taylor Rogers said - "I learned a lot. I'm heading to our boat to practice what I learned." Kelly Ferris said - "How much does that Tige' cost? I gotta tell my husband we need one of those." Next on the wakeboarding agenda at Gainesville Marina is the July 2008 Gainesville Marina Wakeboarding Camp with Tige' Team rider Nick Wienacker. Nick will holding class July 15th thru the 17th. Then to finish off the clinic Steve Rhodes & Mark Gibbs will be conducting a one day Wake Surfing Clinic. You may have seen Mark in October of last year surfing behind the Gainesville Marina Carver 42SS during our Fall cruise and cookout. Mark always has his surf board and is ready to show his surfing stuff. The only person that we know of that can out surf Mark is Steve. Call today and reserve your spot in either or both of these clinics in July.
